The Fifth International Conference on Iron-Sulfur Cluster Biogenesis will be held at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education on the campus of the University of Georgia, Aug 30-Sept 2, 2009. This meeting continues the tradition of successful meetings in Blacksburg, USA (2000), Marburg, Germany (2002), Madison, USA (2005), and Villard de Lans, France (2007) and will continue to focus on the rapidly emerging areas of Fe-S cluster biogenesis and regulation. You can get the Announcement Brochure here. Please print out and post the anouncement brochure in your Department.

The conference will include sessions on iron trafficking to heme and iron-sulfur clusters, prokaryotic iron-sulfur cluster biogenesis, eukaryotic iron-sulfur cluster biogenesis, biogenesis of complex iron-sulfur clusters, and regulatory processes involving iron-sulfur clusters. Submitted papers can be accepted for either oral or poster presentation.

The University of Georgia is located in Athens, Georgia, approximately 75 miles east of Atlanta. It is easily reached from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta by car or shuttle service. We hope to see you in Athens Georgia this summer.
