Abstract
Reaction of Ru complex I (R = H, R1 = Ph) with CH2:CF2 gave I (R = R1 = H) and I (R = R1 = F), both of which were subjected to x-ray anal. I (R = R1 = F) was shown to be a poorer catalyst than I (R = H, R1 = Ph) for the ring-opening polymn. of 1,5-cyclooctadiene. [on SciFinder(R)]
