Department of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences

Medicinal chemistry is a very active area of chemistry and considerable work in this area occurs within the Department (e.g., the research groups of Dr. George Majetich of Dr. Phillip Bowen). These and other research areas interact with research being pursued in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences in the College of Pharmacy. Active research programs in this Department involve the areas of drug discovery and bioinformatics and selenobiology.
